Use this set-up and activation guide to get started with your new Connected Voice Professional service.
Connected Voice comes in two versions: Basic and Professional. There are different set-up instructions for each. Stay here to see the instructions for the Professional version.
Check that you received all of the equipment:
Connected Voice will only work with phones that are connected to your internet service. Any phones plugged into a standard phone jack will not work with Connected Voice.
You can set up your Grandstream phone on a flat surface or mount it on a wall.
The Grandstream phone will automatically self-configure after it's connected to your CenturyLink internet service. All you need to do is plug in the phone and connect the cables in these four steps:
Step 1: Connect the network cable
Plug the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of the phone. Connect the other end of the cable to an active Ethernet port, either on the back of your modem or an Ethernet wall jack.
Step 2: Plug in to power
Connect the power adapter cord to the back of the phone and plug it into a wall outlet. The phone will begin boot-up and you'll see the phone screen light up with the Grandstream logo.
Step 3: Configure
The phone’s screen will show the Grandstream logo and possibly messages like “Provisioning” or “Updating”. Give it 1-2 minutes to fully start up. Once the screen shows the date and time, and possibly your extension or name (if auto-configured by your provider), the phone is ready to use.
Not sure what your new number is? You can find your Connected Voice phone number a couple of ways:
You'll receive a welcome email after you order your Connected Voice service. This email will include your username and a link to create your password for the Connected Voice portal. After you're signed in to the portal, you can view account details, call records, voicemail messages, and more.
Connected Voice portal vs. My CenturyLink
The Connected Voice portal is where you can control your phone service, messages, and features. It's a different site from My CenturyLink, where you manage your account.
Use the Connected Voice app to access enhanced calling and account features available for Professional service.
