How to sign up for paperless billing

You can get all of your monthly billing information electronically when you sign up for paperless billing in My CenturyLink or in the app.

Enroll on the My CenturyLink web portal

Sign in to My CenturyLink and select My Bill from the menu at the top.

On the My Bill page, scroll down to Billing Preferences. You can change your Paperless Billing preference using the toggle. 

Note: If you don't see a Billing Preferences section on the My Bill page, it means you are a Prepaid internet customer. In that case, paperless billing is automatically activated and you will receive email notices of upcoming payments.

Tip: When you turn on paperless billing, take a minute to check the email address shown. This is where you will receive your bill notice. Need to correct it? Click the edit icon to change it.

While you're in the Billing Preferences section, you can also set up AutoPay, store and manage payment methods, or learn how to block third-party billing from your account for extra security.

Enroll on the app

Select My Bill from the navigation at the bottom of the screen, then look for the "Paperless Bills" toggle. If it's green, then paperless billing is turned on. If the toggle is gray, that means paperless billing is turned off.

After you click the toggle, you will be taken to the Paperless Billing screen to confirm the email address where you will receive your billing notices.

How does paperless billing work?

Paperless billing allows you to receive your bills electronically. You'll get an email every month, with payment options and quick links.
 

 

  • You can review, print or save copies of your bills going back at least 12 months.

Important notes for paperless billing

  • You will continue to receive a paper bill until your paperless request takes effect, usually within two months.

  • Your bill is available online no more than four days after it is issued.

  • Signing up for paperless billing doesn't change your monthly due date.

  • If you don't start receiving emails from us, check your spam, bulk or junk folders, and add CenturyLink to your approved senders list.
